Wade Barrett to quit WWE in near future
After Daniel Bryan announced the shocker his wife is supposed to follow his husband and now it’s turn for another superstar from the current active roster to bid adieu to the WWE Universe with not much going around him. This time, it’s the King of the Ring Winner Wade Barrett who is willing to hang up the boots.
Barrett recently revealed that he is going to quit the company when his contract expires this summer. According to the news coming from Pro Wrestling Sheet and Sportskeeda, the former WWE Intercontinental championship holder will not renew his contract with WWE when his current deal expires in a few months. Sources also inform that Barrett had spoken with the WWE officials with his thoughts regarding the contract renewal thoughts and the reason behind his departure is he is not anymore enjoying what he is doing in the company. He recently posted the following to address the situation on Twitter:
Currently, Barrett is working as a League of Nations member alongside Rusev, Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio. Due to his neck injury, he is only making TV appearance but not involves into in ring competitions. The British had landed in America and signed with WWE back in 2007 and came into the main roster in 2010 through NXT after winning the competition.
After completing his first stint in NXT, he debuted on RAW where his first gimmick was as the leader of Nexus group where he had reached in the main event spotlight, just like that. It followed with another group called the Corre. Later, he had some gimmicks which include Barrett Barrage, Bad News Barrett, King Barrett and now the League of Nations member.
In between these, he became the Intercontinental champion for five times but never had reached the main event scene. His contract is supposed to expire in the month of June and nothing his clear about his post-WWE future
